Feeding your kitten: How much and how often?
Feeding requirements vary greatly from one kitten to another and feeding the right amount of kitten food at the proper intervals can be a challenge. Start with the feeding guides on the food can or bag but that is just the beginning. Your kitten’s physical condition should be monitored regularly and the feeding amount adjusted as needed.
Discuss with your veterinarian how often your kitten should be evaluated and the best feeding method for your kitten:
Free Choice: Food is always available. Time-Limited Feeding: Food is available for a limited amount of time. Meal Feeding: A measured amount is available at scheduled times each day.

Choosing the right food for your kitten
All kittens need the basics – high quality kitten food, time to sleep and play, and lots of love – but kittens have individual needs too. Your kitten needs precise levels of essential nutrients to stay her healthiest throughout life. A ‘one size fits all’ approach to nutrition just won’t work. Improper feeding can increase your kitten's risk of obesity, poor muscle and bone development, and poor immune response. She needs a kitten food to provide taurine and other nutrients for proper growth and development. These can be found in all Hill’s® Science Diet® Kitten foods

    Cat loves it

My cat loves this food, its a pretty big can so I usually give her 1/2 of it in the morning and 1/2 of it at night and she eats it all asap.
The food is of excellent quality and my vet recommended it to me. However, it gave my cat a bit of diarreah when she ate it for the first time, since you have to mix it with her old food first.
If your cat experiences diarreah after eating this, you should take it away for a day and then give small amounts once in a while so her stomach gets used to the new food.

My kittens love the chunks rather than minced cat food and they drink the gravy before eating the chuncks. Good food.

I have three kittens, a bengal, a tonkinese, and an abyssinian. All love this cat food and my vet gave me a thumbs up.

While I’m still not sure the formula is worth the expensive price tag, I rescued my kitten from a motherless situation, and he had never had solid food before. The vet said he should be fine with it, and he was able to eat this food with zero stomach problems. Amazing! I also like that this offers whole chunks of food, as it looks more like what a cat should be eating than wet brown mush.
