From all I’ve read Siamese are the most easily trained. I had two Siamese cats years ago. One was more eager to please than the other. They are also very vocal cats. They meow in response to just about anything you say to them. After a while it gets where you can just about figure out what they’re saying! Big Kitty would fetch wads of paper. You never knew if he was doing it for the noise or just to fetch it.
My daughter had two cats in college and beyond who would pick up their toys and put them back in the basket where they belonged at the end of the day. I was plumb fascinated by this, but she swore it was just something they did … no training involved!
Sure, it is possible to train cats, although it is not common.
You can try with clicers. Some do.
Remember, cats ARE more personal than dogs. They obey you not because you are their master, they obey you if they consider you their DAD.
Yes it is possible to train cats although they are not too happy with this. Cant understand why you would want to though, dont mean to sound harsh but surely having a cat with its own personality is a joy to watch? Unless it is being destructive in the house I would leave it to enjoy being what it is- a cat. Its up to you of course but Im sure if someone tried to change our personality we wouldnt be happy. x
