what does it mean when a cat licks you?

i have a cat and esp. at night she lick’s me. what does that mean? does it mean that she loves me?? is it normal??

Sometimes it’s for the salt on your skin, but most often it’s a sign that they have accepted you as part of their family, the same way they wash each other. Another way of showing affection is butting their forehead against yours. Rubbing against your leg doesn’t count. That’s just territorial marking.

No it’s just normal behavior between cats that live together. She’s just looking after you and bonding with you as if you were another cat.
I think it means it loves you lots!!! lol and humans are salty lol
