i dont think so. at least i havent seen or heard that cats do it at all.
he probably thinks that he is licking himself. ive seen my cat trying to lick his tail and miss…..thus licking the carpet for a while, before realizing that its not his tail.
@UninstallingWindows ive seen my cat hyper venelate and it looks similar.
